    About Our Financial Reporting Team Lead:                

    The successful applicant will lead the management reporting function of the Finance department, be responsible for the continued development of reporting packs, work cross functionally with MIS/IT/Marketing/Claims/Operations, and prepare and present ad hoc reports for senior management. The team’s main deliverable is the monthly management pack which communicates financial results and KPI’s to managers and key external stakeholders.  He or she reports to the Accounting Manager within the Finance department and, depending on experience, may have one direct report.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Produce and review, weekly and monthly financial and KPI reports
    • Drive continuous improvement of management financial reporting to ensure reports are accurate, timely, and provide insight needed for quality management decisions
    • Collaborate with the business to ensure the financial reporting function is updated for all new business initiatives
    • Provide guidance and assistance to other members of staff
    • Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in Accounting or Finance (financial reporting preferred)
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to learn new concepts quickly
    • Collaborative minded team player who can teach financial concepts to various functions and levels of the company
    • Ability to prioritize assignments for self and others based on overall business needs
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Must possess great problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrates persistence, overcomes obstacles, and strives to improve skills and achieve goals
    • Motivated, enthusiastic and a self-starter
    • Expert competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

    Preferred Qualifications:              

    • Insurance industry experience
    • CPA
    • Working knowledge of SQL
