    About our Content Coordinator: 

    Elephant is looking for a Content Strategist to join our Marketing team! This role will be directly responsible for developing and implementing a content strategy for a rapidly growing brand. We are looking for someone who can think strategically and knows how to use content to help achieve long-term organizational goals. At the same time, the ideal candidate is someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and help with content production, editing, and curation. Our Content Strategist will be responsible for expanding our brand’s presence in organic search, driving organic traffic to our site, and optimizing content with a focus on UX and acquisition.     Job Responsibilities:

    • Create and oversee the execution of a native content strategy for a large, growing brand
    • Edit website content to make sure it’s in line with the Elephant brand and tone, provides value for users, and follows SEO best practices
    • Monitor performance of pages, including rankings and conducting competitor analysis
    • Understand content gaps and keyword opportunities in order to recommend new topics for creation
    • Use tools like Google Analytics to report on content performance (web traffic, engagement, conversions, bounce rate, etc.)
    • Work with SEO experts to understand opportunities and implement changes to our content based on recommendations
    • Work closely with internal and external teams, from product experts to web developers, to improve our online user experience

    Required Qualifications:

    • 1 - 3 years of experience in a content strategy related role
    • Past experience in successfully implementing and managing a content strategy that includes SEO considerations
    • Passionate about great content – we are looking for someone who loves this stuff and is always looking to stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Experience using a Content Management System (CMS), preferably WordPress
    • Ability to function independently with minimal management supervision
    • Demonstrated ability to gather information, prioritize, and achieve results on time
    • Ability to think critically and a love of problem-solving
    • Able to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-growing business and department
    • Ability to write, edit, and create your own content – you’re not afraid to roll-up your sleeves and get the job done
    • Willingness to have fun, collaborate with others, and be a contributing member of a team
    • Undergraduate degree in marketing, journalism, or any relevant field (equivalent work experience may substitute)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, LinkDex, SEMRush, Moz, and/or other SEO tools
    • Familiarity with native content platforms such as Taboola, Outbrain, and Yahoo Gemini
    • Solid understanding of search engine ranking factors, algorithms and core SEO principals

    Workplace Qualifications:

    • Ability to work on a computer for a full workday
    • Ability to type on a keyboard
    • Ability to sit at a desk for a workday
