    About our Claims Resolution Adjuster:

    Claims Resolution Adjusters at Elephant are the first point of contact for our customers after an accident. They provide excellent customer service while assisting customers through the claims process. These associates evaluate low complexity auto insurance claims to determine whether Elephant can pay for the claims and, if so, how much will be paid. These associates are essential to our customers’ satisfaction and must be passionate about customer service. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional development as Elephant is a growing company that encourages internal promotions and growth.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide superior customer service
    • Assist customers with the initial processing of vehicle claims
    • Manage and route inbound general customer claims inquiry calls
    • Help customers with questions regarding their claims
    • Provide general support to all teams in the Claims department by filing claims and following up on them
    • Work with more experienced claims associates to learn how to handle complex claims
    • Enter and document new claims which are received via live calls and/or vendor paper notices of loss
    • Process automobile insurance claims by doing the following
    • Collect statements from each party
    • Assess automobile damages
    • Arrange estimates for repairs
    • Assess liability and notifies each party of liability
    • Arrange payments for repairs
    • Investigate automobile insurance claims by doing the following
    • Research previous claims and accidents
    • Verify that all statements are accurate
    • Request police reports and other evidence if necessary
    • Assist in Catastrophe situations
    • Able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for 8-hour workdays with breaks and lunch time provided
    • Manual dexterity to type on computer

    Required Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to multi-task, organize, and work efficiently
    • Basic math, computer, and typing skills
    • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts
    • Attention to detail and analytical skills
    • Talent for investigation and research
    • Positive attitude and willingness to adapt

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 2 – 4 years of customer service or claims experience
    • Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
